Kathleen Reed Saturday, July 6, 1946 - Tuesday, June 20, 2017

Kathleen Reed, 70, of Coatesville died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at her home. Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late George and Ann Cummings Scirrotto, and the wife of Eugene Reed with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. Kathy was a member of St. Peter Church, West Brandywine. She was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School. Kathy was a teaching assistant at Child Development Center, Coatesville for many years. She was an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary and volunteered at Birthright of Coatesville. In addition to her husband, Gene, Kathy is survived by her four children: Melissa Reed of Coatesville; Dan Reed and his wife Heather of Reading, Trevor Reed and his wife Lori of East Earl, Jason Reed and his wife Trish of Thorndale; 5 grandchildren: Zach, Corrine, Nathan, Justin, and Lauren; and two sisters, Elaine of Florida and Jeannie of Yardley. Kathy’s memorial mass will be celebrated Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11 am at St. Peter Church 2835 Manor Avenue, West Brandywine where family and friends may call beginning at 10am. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, West Brandywine. Memorials in Kathy’s honor may be made to Camboni Missionary Sisters 5401 Lock Haven Blvd. Baltimore, MD 21239-2902 or to Birthright of Coatesville 529 East Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320 or to St. John’s Hospice 1221 Race Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107.

condolences to kathy's family,worked with kathy for years,she knew her purpose in life-she was a dedicated,gifted, hard working lady.she loved her family and really enjoyed bringing her "angel"in to school,it was always good to see her and her doggie.kathy was always a "go to"person,willing to listen and help out,her crochet work was beautiful,she was a beautiful,genuine human being.always felt comforted and at peace around her,again-sorry for your loss,kathy is at peace,i am grateful for the chance to have known her...

To all Miss Kathys family,
I had the pleasure of working in the classroom right next to Miss Kathy for a couple years before her retirement and she always stopped by our room when she visited! She was a remarkable woman and we will all miss her dearly! My thoughts and Condolences go out to all the family! RIP Miss Kathy!

I was fortunate enought to work at CCDC with Kathy many years back.  She was the most lovely, kindest, and hard-working person.  Sendong you and your family warm thoughts and condolences. Know that many, many colleagues will remember her very fondly!

GENE, Dan, Trevor Jason, Melissa, Elaine and Jeannie and all of her grandchildren this is a great loss for all of you and all of us. She was our first neice and we doted on her. She was a wonderful person to all and will be greatly missed.
