Leo S. James Monday, September 3, 1923 - Wednesday, July 12, 2017

Leo S. James, of Coatesville died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Hickory House Nursing Home, Honey Brook. Born in Dunlo he was the son of the late George and Sara Behe James. He was the husband of Elizabeth “Libby” J. James with whom he shared 69 years of marriage before her death in November 2015. Leo served in the US Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of Our Lady of Consolation in Parkesburg. After 36 years of service, Leo retired from the Reading Railroad. Leo was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a life member of the VFW Post #287. He played AAA baseball for the VFW and won a state title in 1948. He was an avid fisherman. He was a Philadelphia Sports Fan and a Penn State Fan. Leo is survived by his daughter Elizabeth E. Morrow and her husband Richard of Coatesville and a son Patrick F. James and his wife Cheryl of Schuylkill Haven. He is survived by 7 grandchildren: Norman W. Refford, Jr., Tamara L. Messner, Corissa L. James, Megan D. Toomey, and Katelynn M. James, Ryan O. Morrow and Richard C. Morrow, 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Katherine Daniels of San Diego, CA. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his brother, Roy James. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Consolation. Family and friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will be in Our Lady of Consolation Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in his honor may be made to Our Lady of Consolation, 603 W 2nd Ave, Parkesburg, PA 19365.

To the family and friends of Mr. James, I am so sorry for your loss. I want to send my Sympathy and Deepest condolences. Please remember the Promise in the Bible that we will see our dead loved ones again. John Chpater 5 verses 28,29. God did not intend for us to ever die he made us to live forever due to inperfection inherted from the 1st man and woman we do die, but God promsies to end death forever and WIPE every tear from our eyes. this cn be found in the book of revelation chapter 21:3,4 I cannot imagine the sadness and sorrowy you are feeling at this time and my heart felt hope that you can find comfort in god's promises is what I am sending to you all.
